We also offer light therapy benefits using yellow light at around 590nm and green light in the 520nm-550nm range. We believe in providing options backed by research showing the potential benefits of these wavelengths.

However, it’s important to know that the FDA doesn’t currently give official registration to yellow or green light therapy (FDA clearly state this information on their website). This is the only reason you won’t see FDA certification option on these particular wavelengths/products from us.

1. What does LED stand for in LED Light Therapy?

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. LEDs are semiconductor devices that emit light when an electric current passes through them.

2. How does LED Light Therapy work?

LED Light Therapy works by emitting specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by cells in the body. This absorption triggers various biological processes, such as increased collagen production, reduced inflammation, and improved cellular repair.

3. Why are different wavelengths (colours) of LED Light Therapy used, and what are their benefits?

• Red Light (630-700nm): Red Penetrates deeper into the skin, stimulating collagen production, reducing inflammation, and improving circulation. Used for skin rejuvenation, anti-aging, and pain relief.

   

• Blue Light (415-495nm): Blue Targets the surface of the skin, killing bacteria and reducing inflammation associated with acne.
  
   
• Near-Infrared Light (800+): Near-Infrared Light is Colourless, unable to be seen my the human eye. Penetrates the deepest, reaching muscles and bones. Used for pain relief, wound healing, and reducing deeper inflammation.
• Amber/Yellow Light (560-590nm): Yellow/Amber Light Therapy Reduces redness, swelling, and inflammation.
• Green Light (500-570nm): Green is known for a Calming effect to the brain, and for reduction of redness, inflammation, migraine/head-aches and rosacea.

   

• Purple Light (400-420nm): Recent research suggests that purple light may be beneficial for treating acne and other skin conditions. It may also have potential benefits for mental health and cognitive function, although more research is needed in this area.
• Orange (570nm-595nm): Skin rejuvenation, wound healing, circulation boost
